The last one was suggested to me by the most excellent Ms. Kristin Branson. It is "This American Life" for geeks and is by far my favorite podcast these days. Most of the time it is devoted to issues of science and philosophy, but every now and then they do an episode like Quantum Cello, which is devoted to the music of celloist Zoe Keating. There is only one way to describe what she does -- mind blowing.

Hi Sameer, I am also a fan of many of those podcasts, and of Zoe Keating (I got to see her play live in Chicago!). I would also recommend: NPR's Planet Money and The New Yorker's Fiction podcast. Hope you're doing well! Daniel.
Hold the phone. You speak of podcasts but neglect that of your flesh and blood sibling?! For shame...
Clearly, you should be listening to The Audioshocker Podcast in the AM.
Hey Daniel,
Long time. so nice of you to drop by. I hope things are good in SD.
I tried the New Yorker fiction podcast, and liked it very much but then gave up on it. The reason had more to do with my listening habits than anything else. Sometimes I space out while listening to the podcast, and with the fiction podcast ( and to a certain extent with the moth podcast) this is not a great idea. So I tend to listen to podcasts which I can zone in and out of and still figure out what is going on.
